With the acquisition of a new ShopBot Desktop ProMax with automatic tool changing we are hoping to get more people involved in continued support of St. Michael's and make our CNC training more systematic to improve skills of mentors and students.

We now have access to a set of 10 ShopBot Basic CNC Training videos and will begin reviewing them on Monday Feb 19. We’ll do this on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 4:30 PM with the students at St. Michael’s Woodshop at 691 St. Paul Street. You are registering for ALL THREE SESSIONS. It will provide you with an overview of how the tools work and how to get started, as well as learning to work on file creation, and more.

For those who can’t make it at that time we’re also considering streaming on Zoom or Teams meetings. Please email s_macintyre@yahoo.com if you're interested in this.

Prior to starting on these training modules, I suggest that you download the demo version of VCarve Pro (if you don't already have it) and familiarize yourself with the software to get the most out of the information in these training sessions.
