This Local Workshop is intended to provide the basic processes for the simplest finishing and to introduce several of the most common finishing processes and materials. Unfortunately, most woodworkers concentrate on their favorite finishes that work for them and don’t try anything else. The workshop is an opportunity to try some different ones.

Last year we had a workshop that focused on furniture makers that was limited by the drying time of the finishes. This year we will finish test dowels mounted on a lathe to help dry the finish and will allow multiple coats. This will be of value to all woodworkers.
