Johnny makes fine woodworking projects, instructional videos, and plans. His goal is to educate, inspire, and entertain new and seasoned woodworkers. Intricate Japanese lattice work called kumiko is a big part of his work and a discipline within woodworking that he's passionate about teaching and sharing with others. His YouTube channel is a way to do so and he also offers tools and kits on his website to help expand the skills of the awesome woodworkers within the DIY community.

Discover the intricate art of Kumiko: A journey into Japanese woodworking!
Have you ever marveled at the intricate beauty of kumiko? Whether you've stayed in a traditional Japanese home or simply indulged in anime series, chances are you've encountered this captivating Japanese woodworking technique. Kumiko involves skillfully assembling wooden pieces without the use of nails, resulting in a breathtaking finished product with endless applications like light deflectors, lamp shades, wall hangings, latticework, panels, and more. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.
We invite you to join us on September 15 & 16, 2023, for an exclusive opportunity to delve into the world of kumiko. Prepare to be inspired and trained in this art form that combines creativity and craftsmanship in a harmonious blend. Our guest artist, Johnny Tromboukis, will grace us on Friday evening, sharing his journey and showcasing some of his magnificent kumiko creations.
